School of Acting for the Screen - SAS

Hands-on actor training through real film productions.

SAS is designed for actors who are passionate about developing their craft through both training and real on-set experience.

Throughout the program, students explore a variety of acting methods and approaches week by week—including Stanislavski’s System, Meisner Technique, Suzuki Method, Alexander Technique, improvisation, and scene study—while discovering the process and style that best connects with them as performers.

Beyond technique, the program emphasizes artistic growth, collaboration, integrity, and meaningful storytelling. We are looking for actors who are passionate about pursuing excellence in their craft and using their gifts to impact audiences through film.

Rather than remaining only in the classroom, actors are given the opportunity to apply their training through active film productions created alongside students from the School of Digital Filmmaking (SDF). This hands-on environment allows actors to grow through collaboration, practical experience, and real storytelling on set.

Create real performances. Build your acting reel.

Actors may perform in leading and supporting roles across multiple short film productions, allowing students to graduate not only with a deeper understanding of their craft, but also with filmed performances and character work that contribute toward building a professional acting reel and on-screen portfolio.

In addition to performance training, students develop skills in:

  • Script analysis and character development

  • Audition preparation

  • Film history and performance analysis

  • On-set collaboration and screen performance

  • Emotional truth and storytelling through film
