Guillermo Navarro — Founder & Program Director

Guillermo Navarro is a screenwriter, director, and producer with an extensive career across film and television.

Early in his career, he traveled to more than 25 countries producing documentaries that explored a wide range of social issues. His work has taken him from China to the Sahara Desert, documenting subjects such as street children in Brazil, refugee camps in Africa, indigenous communities in Asia, and international sporting events.

As a freelancer, he has contributed to major networks including Discovery Channel, National Geographic, ESPN, FOX, HBO, ABC, NBC, CBS, VH1, PBS, HLN, MTV, Disney+, Televisa, Telemundo, Animal Planet, and Speed Network.

His writing and directing credits include Relapse and Historias Invisibles (theatrical release, 2024), both award-winning projects. He is currently developing long-form film and television projects.

His producing credits include The Land of Eb (Toronto International Film Festival selection), Midori in Hawai‘i (U.S.–Japan co-production), and numerous award-winning short films.
